U.N.: Countries should be prepared for rise in H5N1 cases

The United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization has urged vigilance against H5N1 flu as cases of the avian strain could again increase due to bird migrations resulting from poultry farming practices. The agency also reported that a vaccine-resistant strain of the virus, called H5N1 2.3.2.1, has been identified in China and Vietnam. Los Angeles Times/Booster Shots blog
