World Haemophilia Day 2018
‘Principles and Partnerships’

2018 marks the 10-year anniversary of the publication of the European Principles of Haemophilia Care,  which set the standard for the provision of comprehensive haemophilia care in Europe. For the past 10 years, they have been used throughout Europe as an important tool to assess the level of haemophilia care in a given country and continue to advocate for improvements where optimal standards are lacking. On the other hand, developing meaningful partnerships that help the communities reach their goals has always been a primary objective of both the EHC and EAHAD. To this end, we are proud to celebrate World Haemophilia Day together!

The World Haemophilia Day event will be a chance to revisit these foundational principles and also consider the many collaborative initiatives that have arisen in their wake each of which builds on the principles and in particular highlights the importance of Principle 4: Partnership in the Delivery of Haemophilia Care.
