On 5-7 July 2015, the European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) organised the second edition of its Youth Workshop: ‘Speak up, stand out, join the conversation’ in Rome, Italy.

Fifteen young volunteers, aged 19 to 31, from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and the United Kingdom, joined in for this two-day workshop to learn more on how to take part more effectively in the activities of their National Member Organisation (NMO). The workshop was a mix of interactive sessions on how to engage and retain volunteers, communicate more efficiently with the NMO board and develop strategic planning for youth activities.

The workshop was developed by the EHC Youth Committee, composed of EHC Steering Committee Members, Olivia Romero-Lux and Traci Marshall Dowling; EHC Dutch NMO Member and Chair of the Youth Committee, Michael van der Linde, French NMO President, Thomas Sannié and EHC staff members Amanda Bok and Laura Savini.
