Ensuring access to critical medicines remains a priority

On European von Willebrand Disease (VWD) Awareness Day, the EHC is marking the occasion by renewing its call for von Willebrand Factor to be included on the Union List of Critical Medicines.

This year’s Awareness Day serves as an important reminder that while progress has been made in raising awareness about VWD, significant policy gaps remain. The continued absence of von Willebrand Factor from the European Union’s Critical Medicines list poses ongoing risks to continuity of care and patient safety across Europe.
