Women and girls with bleeding disorders often wait years for a diagnosis. Awareness is limited, symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding are often dismissed, and access to appropriate care is uneven across Europe.
From 17 to 19 November 2026, hosted by MEP Nicolas González Casares (S&D, Spain), the European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) Women and Bleeding Disorders (WBD) Committee brings these experiences to the European Parliament in Brussels through personal stories, informative visuals, interactive activities, and educational materials.
The exhibition opens officially on Tuesday, 17 November 2026 at 12:30 PM. A Round Table from 14:00 to 16:00 follows, bringing together patients, healthcare professionals, EHC National Member Organisations (NMOs), and policymakers to discuss how EU policies can address unmet needs. The exhibition remains open to visitors until close of business on Thursday, 19 November 2026.
The exhibition aims to:
- Raise awareness of bleeding disorders in women and girls
- Challenge common misconceptions
- Promote better recognition of menstrual and bleeding disorders
- Start a dialogue on how European Union (EU) policies can improve access to timely diagnosis, appropriate care, and support

Travel grants for EHC National Member Organisations
The EHC continues its small grant programme to help a wider group of EHC NMOs access and benefit from the EHC Round Tables in Brussels.
The EHC will cover the travel costs up to €500 for up to 5 NMO representatives to participate in this Round Table.
The EHC will approve the requests based on the following criteria:
- Whether the NMO or NMO member has a current specific and relevant interest in the topic of the Round Table;
- Whether the NMO or NMO member is currently advocating on the topic of the Round Table;
- Whether the NMO is planning a programme or project on the topic of the Round Table in the near future;
- Initially in this process, preference will be given to NMOs or NMO members who have not attended previous Round Tables.
Please note: if an NMO member confirms attendance but does not attend, the EHC won’t fund the travel grant. Hence, taking travel insurance is highly recommended.
To apply, please send an email to Roberta Sadauskaite, EHC Public Policy Lead, at [email protected].
