As the European Union advances a comprehensive approach to mental health, now is the perfect moment to come together and spotlight the unique needs of people living with rare bleeding disorders. The EHC is therefore organising the Round Table Beyond the Diagnosis: Addressing Mental Health in the Bleeding Disorders Community, where patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers will share their perspectives and explore the vital intersection between mental health and bleeding disorders.
The aim of the event is to shed light on the challenges faced by this often underrepresented community — from coping with chronic pain and anxiety to tackling stigma and isolation — and discuss ways to foster more inclusive, patient‑centred policies.
The Round Table will take place at the Warwick Hotel Brussels (Brussels, Belgium) on 23 September 2025 (14:00-16:00). Maximum capacity of 30 participants.
Travel Grants for EHC National Member Organisations
The EHC continues its small grant programme to help a wider group of EHC National Member Organisations (NMOs) access and benefit from the EHC Round Tables in Brussels.
The EHC will cover the travel costs up to €500 for up to 5 NMO representatives to participate in this Round Table. The EHC will approve the requests based on the following criteria:
- Whether the NMO or NMO member has a current specific and relevant interest in the topic of the Round Table;
- Whether the NMO or NMO member is currently advocating on the topic of the Round Table;
- Whether the NMO is planning a programme or project on the topic of the Round Table in the near future;
- Initially in this process, preference will be given to NMOs or NMO members who have not attended previous Round Tables.
Please note: if an NMO member confirms attendance but does not attend, the EHC won’t fund the travel grant. Hence, taking travel insurance is highly recommended.
To apply for the EHC Travel Grants, please send an email to Roberta Sadauskaite, EHC Public Policy Lead, at [email protected].
