The 26th EHC Conference was held in Bucharest from 4 to 6 October, warmly hosted by the Romanian Haemophilia Association, and quickly became an historic event.

Romania’s Minister of Health, Mr. Eugen Nicolaescu, opened the Conference with a welcome speech and the onsite signature of the first tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Health, the Romanian Haemophilia Association and the EHC, which amongst others establishes Romania’s first National Haemophilia Committee. Romania’s State Secretary and President of the National Insurance Fund were also in prominent attendance at the Opening Ceremony.

In addition to the signing of this agreement, the EHC Conference featured a timely and highly relevant scientific programme and introduced four pilot NMO workshops, which were held both before and in parallel with the main conference programme. The workshops were well-received and garnered between 20 to 70 attendees each.
